Groups let organization members collaborate through email and shared network drives. A mail group links all members for streamlined communication and information sharing. Standard account users can create groups in Webmail, and administrators can manage them from the domain administration console.
Create a group
1. Log on to the web client with a standard account. Then, select Groups and click New/Upload in the upper-left corner.

2. In the dialog box that appears, enter the required information.
1) Group administrator: The group creator is the administrator by default, with permissions to approve requests and manage the group.
2) Group members: Users who join the group become members. All members share the same permissions.
3) Mail group: A corresponding mail group is automatically created with the group. Only static mail groups are supported.
4) For the maximum number of groups a user can create and the maximum number of members per group, see Parameters for standard accounts.
Manage groups as an administrator
1. Log on to Alibaba Mail with the postmaster administrator account. You are directed to the Domain console by default. Then, click Organization and Users > Mail Group.
2. Select Mail Group Management. Find the mail groups of the Group type and manage them.

3. Click a group name to open its edit page, where you can modify the mail group permissions and settings.

When an administrator deletes a group, a confirmation prompt appears. The group creator can navigate to Mailbox > Groups > Shared Files to check the files.
