Running Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances with the CloudMonitor agent installed are evaluated as Compliant.
Scenarios
Ensures that all running ECS instances have the CloudMonitor agent installed for monitoring.
Risk level
Default risk level: high.
You can change the risk level when you apply this rule.
Compliance evaluation logic
- If the CloudMonitor agent is installed on each running ECS instance, the evaluation result is Compliant.
- If the CloudMonitor agent is not installed on each running ECS instance, the evaluation result is Incompliant. For more information about how to remediate an incompliant configuration, see Incompliance remediation.
- This rule does not apply to ECS instances that are not in the running state.
