Unitized disaster recovery
Configuring disaster recovery helps ensure data security and high availability for your business. This topic describes how to configure disaster recovery for logical units in a unitized architecture on the LHC platform.
Disaster recovery planning
Log on to the console. In the navigation pane on the left, click Unitized Management > Unitized Disaster Recovery.
On the Disaster Recovery Planning tab, click Edit next to the target unit or unit group.
Configure the following settings and click Submit.
Configuration item
Description
Intra-city Disaster Recovery Group
Optional. The disaster recovery group for multi-zone disaster recovery scenarios.
NoteThis group cannot share logical units with the Geo-disaster recovery group.
Geo-disaster recovery group
Optional. The disaster recovery group for geo-disaster recovery scenarios.
NoteThis group cannot share logical units with the Multi-zone disaster recovery group.
Changes to the disaster recovery plan are periodically synchronized to the unitized control plane. To trigger an immediate synchronization, click Force Metadata Sync.
Disaster recovery status
You can view the disaster recovery status of each logical unit in the unitized architecture.
Log on to the console. In the navigation pane on the left, click Unitized Management > Unitized Disaster Recovery.
On the Disaster Recovery Status tab, view the status.
You can view the disaster recovery status by unit group or by unit shard.
Disaster recovery switchover
Log on to the console. In the navigation pane on the left, click Unitized Management > Unitized Disaster Recovery.
On the Disaster Recovery Switchover tab, configure the switchover settings.
Configuration item
Description
Disaster recovery type
The supported types are Switchover and Recover. The default is Switchover.
Disaster recovery distance
Select a switching pattern: Same-city or Remote.
Disaster recovery target type
The supported types are Unit Group, Unit, and Data Center.
Disaster recovery target
Select the switchover object based on the selected disaster recovery target type.
Click Start Disaster Recovery.
