This document describes how to batch create and export accounts.

Batch create accounts

  1. Log on to the enterprise mailbox as the administrator (postmaster). Go to the email management console. Click **Organization and Users** > **Employee Account Management** > **Import/Export** > **Import Accounts**.image

  2. Select **Create New Accounts** and click **Download Template File**. Fill in the new account information according to the table headers in the template. Import the completed template file.image

    Note

The import file must be in .csv format.

  3. After the import is complete, go to the **Task Hub** to view the results.image

Notes on the import process:

  1. Download the template and use a spreadsheet application, such as Microsoft Excel, to fill in the employee information.

  2. The required fields are Name, Email Address, and Password.

  3. Password format: (1) The password must be 9 to 64 characters long. (2) The password must contain characters from at least three of the following categories: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, and special characters. (3) The password cannot contain the email account name or any weak password keywords set by the administrator.

  4. Department creation: You can create multi-level sub-departments in batches during the account import. To create a department hierarchy, enter the department path in the `A/B/C` format.

For example, you can enter `Technology/Development/Frontend1`. You do not need to specify the top-level department. The following screenshot shows the result:image

  5. To create an account in the top-level department, leave the department column empty in the CSV file.

  6. The result file in the **Task Hub** provides the reasons for successful and failed imports.

  7. To improve import speed and success rate, import accounts in batches of 3,000 or fewer.

  8. If the import involves many departments, it is processed as an asynchronous task. You must wait for the background process to complete.
