1 What is Intelligent Advisor?
Intelligent Advisor is a platform for cloud architecture inspection and optimization management. Based on the Well-Architected Framework and the best practices of Alibaba Cloud Technical Account Managers (TAMs), Intelligent Advisor provides a comprehensive set of pre-configured inspection rules to detect threats and track their resolution. For scenarios that involve stability, cost optimization, and capacity, Intelligent Advisor offers targeted inspection orchestration to provide an enhanced cloud experience.
2 How is Intelligent Advisor priced?
During its public preview, Intelligent Advisor provides free inspections and recommendations. If you require additional service recommendations, contact your service manager.
3 How do I revoke authorization for Intelligent Advisor?
To revoke authorization, go to the Resource Access Management (RAM) console, find the AliyunAdvisorDefaultRole role, and then revoke the authorization for this role. After the authorization is revoked, Intelligent Advisor will stop inspecting your cloud resources and application architecture.
4 What is the inspection frequency of Intelligent Advisor?
The automatic inspection frequency varies by inspection item. Each item is scheduled to perform batch inspections of cloud resource instances. For example, results for RDS index recommendations and SQL optimization are collected every 3 minutes, while other inspection items run once every 24 hours.
You cannot customize the inspection frequency. However, you can run an inspection on demand from the Intelligent Advisor console by clicking Re-inspect.
5 Will Intelligent Advisor inspections affect server performance?
Cloud resource inspections use OpenAPI to retrieve cloud resource information and do not affect your server performance.
Application architecture inspections use a probe that is installed as a service to retrieve application architecture and network information. This process consumes a small amount of CPU, memory, and network resources.
6 What are the data sources for Intelligent Advisor inspections?
Cloud resource inspections retrieve cloud resource information through OpenAPI and require your authorization.
Application architecture inspections retrieve application architecture and network information through a probe that you must install.
7 Is Intelligent Advisor intrusive?
Cloud resource inspections retrieve cloud resource information through OpenAPI and are non-intrusive.
Application architecture inspections use a probe that is installed as a service and are non-intrusive to your applications.
8 How does Intelligent Advisor help customers save costs?
Intelligent Advisor helps you save costs by running inspections to detect underutilized or idle cloud resources and providing corresponding optimization solutions.
9 Can the diagnostic items of Intelligent Advisor be configured?
You can enable or disable specific diagnostic items. More diagnostic items will be added in future product iterations.
10 Why does the inspection report download fail?
Inspection reports can be downloaded as PDF or Excel files. If a download fails, it may be because your browser has blocked it. To resolve this, go to your browser settings and allow pop-ups or redirections from Intelligent Advisor.
11 How does Intelligent Advisor manage data for multiple accounts?

12 What is the support plan for cloud products?
We prioritize support for popular cloud products and are gradually adding support for others. If you have a specific product request, you can submit feedback to our customer service. We will promptly evaluate and respond to your request.
13 How can I receive inspection reports on a schedule?
