Alibaba Cloud offers promo codes for domain name registration, transfer-in, and renewal. Use these codes to obtain promotional discounts. You can obtain promo codes from the Alibaba Cloud Domain Names (wanwang) WeChat Official Account or from event pages. These codes cannot be used with other offers for the same domain product, such as cash coupons, discounts, or spend-and-save promotions.
Rules for using domain name promo codes
Promo codes are applicable to Alibaba Cloud accounts. Some promo codes are not available for agent accounts.
Promo codes are applicable to specific domain suffixes and operations. For more information, see the promo code description.
The available discounts vary by promo code. For more information, see the description of the promo code.
The following figure shows a sample promo code. The actual discount is based on the price displayed on the payment page.
Domain name promo codes are available for a limited time and in limited quantities. We recommend that you use them as soon as possible after they are successfully authenticated.
You can only use promo codes for orders placed on a PC or in the Alibaba Cloud App, and the code must be successfully authenticated before use. You cannot use promo codes for batch submissions in the console, on domain name H5 pages, or through APIs.
NoteIf your mobile operating system version is outdated, the Alibaba Cloud App may not support promo codes. You can upgrade your system to iOS 4.21.3, Android 4.21.2, or later and retry.
Step 1: Get a promo code
You can obtain domain name promo codes in two ways. The codes from both methods are the same. We recommend that you follow the Alibaba Cloud Domain Names (wanwang) WeChat Official Account to obtain all current promo codes and use them as needed.
Promo codes are updated periodically. We recommend that you use them as soon as possible after you obtain them.
Get a code from the WeChat Official Account
Scan the QR code below to follow the Alibaba Cloud Domain Names (wanwang) Official Account. Reply with “promo code” in the chat to obtain the codes.

Get a code from an event page
This topic uses the Double 11 domain name event page as an example.
The event page directly displays the promo codes. You can view the detailed rules for the promo codes in the Event Rules section of the page.
Step 2: Use a promo code
When you enter a domain name promo code, make sure that the letter case matches the original code.
Using on PC
When you submit a domain name registration order, enter the promo code in the Promo Code field and click Submit.
If the code is authenticated, the discount is applied. The actual discount is based on the price displayed on the payment page. If the code authentication fails, the discount is not applied.
Using the App
On the Confirm Order page for the domain name, click Enter promo code, enter the promo code, and click OK.

Common reasons for promo code authentication failure
Promo codes have a limited scope of application. For example, codes for registration and renewal cannot be used interchangeably. If you use a code for an inapplicable operation, the code is invalid.
If there is an ongoing promotion for domain name registration, related promo codes for registration do not work. Follow the Alibaba Cloud Domain Name Registration home page to obtain the latest promotion information.
Promo codes do not work when there is an exclusive promotion for the domain name.
For premium domain names, the discount from a renewal promo code is applied on the checkout page after you click Pay. Make sure that you check the final price.
