This topic describes the workflow for using EAIS instances to help you quickly get started in your business scenarios.
The workflow for an EAIS instance varies based on its creation method.
Create an instance in the EAIS console or by calling CreateEaisEi
When you create an EAIS instance in the EAIS console or by calling the CreateEaisEi operation, the workflow is as follows:
Sign up for an Alibaba Cloud account.
Create an Alibaba Cloud account and complete your account information. You can then purchase and use Alibaba Cloud products.
Create a pay-as-you-go ECS instance to attach the EAIS instance to.
NoteFor more information about how to manage ECS instances, see Manage instances.
Create an EAIS instance as needed.
Associating with an ECS instance.
Because an EAIS instance is an accelerator, it must be attached to an ECS instance. Attach the EAIS instance to the corresponding ECS instance.
After the EAIS instance is attached, start it when you are ready to use it.
NoteAfter you start the EAIS instance, billing for the instance begins.
After you attach the EAIS instance, remotely log in to the ECS instance. You can then use the EAIS instance to accelerate AI inference or model training.
If you temporarily do not need to use an EAIS instance, you can stop it to avoid unnecessary charges.
NoteAfter you stop the EAIS instance, billing for the instance is paused.
If you temporarily do not need to use an EAIS instance or need to attach it to a different ECS instance, detach the EAIS instance to avoid wasting resources.
If you no longer need an EAIS instance, release it to prevent unnecessary billing.
Create an instance by calling CreateEai
When you create an EAIS instance by calling the CreateEai operation, the workflow is as follows:

Disassociating from an ECS instance.
If you temporarily do not need to use an EAIS instance or need to attach it to a different ECS instance, you can detach it to save costs.
If you no longer need an EAIS instance, release it to prevent unnecessary billing.
NoteAfter you release the EAIS instance, billing for the instance stops.
