Select an officially supported operating system with compatible drivers and kernel versions when you create i4 instances with local NVMe SSDs.

If you want to use an operating system version not listed in the preceding table, take one of the following actions:

Select an instance type that supports the operating system version you want to use.
Use a community image that contains the operating system version you need.

Important

Unsupported operating system versions are used at your own risk.

i4 instances use local Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) SSDs. For disk categories and performance, see Local disks.
