Notification contacts and contact groups are the foundation for sending notifications in SchedulerX 2.0. This topic describes how to create notification contacts and contact groups.

Create a notification contact or a contact group

Create a notification contact

  1. Log on to the EDAS consoleEDAS console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Task Scheduling.
  3. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Notification Contact.
  5. On the Notification Contact page, click Create Contact. On the Create Contact page, configure the basic information for the contact.
    Configuration Item Description
    Name The name of the contact. The name must be unique.
    Contact Group You can select one or more options.
    Webhook
  6. After you verify the information, click Done.
Note A contact can be added to multiple contact groups.

Create a contact group

  1. Log on to the EDAS consoleEDAS console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Task Scheduling.
  3. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  4. In the navigation pane on the left, click Notification Contact.
  5. Click the Contact Group tab. Then, click Create Contact Group. On the Create Contact Group page, configure the basic information for the contact group.
  6. Click Done.
Note A contact group contains one or more contacts.

Related operations

After you create a notification contact or contact group, you can also modify or delete it.

  • Modify a notification contact or contact group.

    On the Notification Management page, find the contact or contact group that you want to modify and click Edit in the **Actions** column.

  • Delete a notification contact or contact group.
    On the Notification Management page, click Delete in the Actions column for the notification contact or contact group. To delete multiple contacts in a batch, select the check boxes for the target contacts and click Batch Delete in the lower-left corner.
    Important
    • When a contact is deleted, it is automatically removed from the contact groups to which it belongs.
    • Deleting a contact group does not delete the contacts within that group.

Configure a notification contact group for an application

SchedulerX 2.0 supports application-level configuration for notification contacts. It supports multiple notification channels, such as text message, phone call, email, and webhook. Two notification methods are supported: Contact Group and Custom.
  • Contact Group: After you create contacts and contact groups, you can select a contact group as the notification method when you create or modify an application. This ensures that all contacts in the group receive notifications. For more information, see Create Application.
  • Custom: Configure at least one custom contact.
