Subscription is a prepaid billing method for Edge Node Service (ENS). Pay upfront to reserve resources and get a lower monthly rate.

Subscription pricing

In subscription notation, C represents vCPU and G represents memory. For example, a compute-optimized 4C8G instance has 4 vCPU cores and 8 GB of memory.

Prices vary by billing area. For the edge zones included in each billing area, see Edge zone distribution. For network bandwidth (Gbps) and packet forwarding rate in packets per second (PPS) by instance type, see Instance types and metrics.

Annual pricing

Annual subscriptions apply a 15% discount to the monthly rate:

Annual price = Monthly price × 12 × 0.85

For example, a compute-optimized 4C8G instance (ens.sn1.small) in Asia Pacific 1 costs $95.077/month. The annual price is:

$95.077 × 12 × 0.85 = $969.79/year

Expiration and renewal

Expiration policy

Warning

After 30 days past expiration, ENS permanently deletes all computing resources and disk data. This data cannot be recovered.

If a subscription is not renewed before it expires, resources enter a grace period and are eventually released:

Grace period (within 15 days after expiration)

Resource

Status

Computing resources (vCPUs and memory)

Retained. Instance runs normally.

Block storage (disks and local disks)

Retained. Disks work normally.

Static public IP

Retained.

ENS EIPs (Elastic IP Addresses)

Not affected.

Suspension period (15–30 days after expiration)

Resource

Computing resources (vCPUs and memory)

ENS retains the computing resources (vCPUs and memory), but you cannot start the instance.

ENS releases your computing resources (vCPUs and memory). Your service data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Block storage

  • ENS retains the disks and their data.

  • ENS retains the local disks and their data.

  • ENS releases the subscription disks and their data. Your service data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

  • ENS releases the local disks. Your service data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Public IP

  • ENS retains the static public IP address.

  • The attached ENS elastic IP addresses (EIPs) are not affected.

  • ENS releases the static public IP address.

  • ENS detaches the EIPs.

Renewal policy

Both manual renewal and auto-renewal are supported. Renew a trial or purchased subscription instance at any time before it expires.

When auto-renewal is enabled, the renewal period defaults to the initial purchase duration. For example, an instance purchased for one month renews automatically in one-month increments.

Renew before your expiration date to avoid service interruption. For the renewal process, see Renew expiring resources.
