An alert contact is a person who receives alert notifications from the advanced monitoring feature. When a metric triggers an alert, a notification is sent to the specified alert contact. You can add an alert contact to an alert rule to receive notifications. This topic describes how to create, view, modify, disable, and enable alert contacts.

Add a contact
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Elasticsearch console.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Advanced Monitoring and Alerting.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
On the Contact Management page, click the Contacts tab.
Click Add Contact.
In the Add Contact dialog box, enter the contact information.
Parameter
Description
Contact Name
The name must be 1 to 30 characters long. It can contain letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-). It must start with a letter or a digit. The Contact Name must be unique and cannot be changed after it is set.
Remarks
Enter a meaningful description for the contact. This helps you find the contact quickly.
Mobile Number
After you enter a mobile number, a text message with an activation link is sent to the number. You must activate the number as prompted to enable the contact. If the number is not activated, the contact cannot receive alert notifications.
DingTalk Group Chatbot
Enter the webhook URL of the DingTalk group chatbot. For more information, see Receive alert notifications in a DingTalk group.
Click OK.
View or modify contact information
On the Contacts tab, find the contact you want to manage and click View/Modify in the Actions column.
On the Update Contact page, you can view or modify the contact information.
ImportantIf you change the mobile number, you must verify the new number using a text message to receive alert notifications.
Click OK.
Disable or enable a contact
Disable a contact.
On the Contacts tab, in the Actions column for the contact that you want to disable, click Disable.
ImportantYou can execute the Disable operation only when the status of the target contact is Enabled or Unactivated.
You cannot delete contacts. If you no longer want a contact to receive alert notifications, you must disable the contact.
In the dialog box, click OK.
After the Disable operation succeeds, the contact's Status changes to Disabled. The contact will no longer receive alert notifications. To enable the contact again, you can perform the following steps.
Enable a contact.
On the Contacts tab, find the desired contact and click Enable in the Actions column.
In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
When the contact is Enabled, its Status is displayed as Enabled, and it will resume receiving alert notifications.
