EventBridge is integrated with Hybrid Cloud Monitoring. You can create a namespace for EventBridge in Cloud Monitor and then create a dashboard to monitor EventBridge metrics. This topic describes how to create a dashboard.
Prerequisites
EventBridge is activated and authorized. For more information, see Activate and authorize EventBridge.
A custom event bus is created. For more information, see Create a custom event bus.
Hybrid Cloud Monitoring is now enabled. For more information, see Enable Hybrid Cloud Monitoring.
A metric repository is created. For more information, see Manage metric repositories.
Feature access
Log on to the EventBridge console, and in the navigation pane on the left, click Event Buses.
In the top menu bar, select a region. On the Event Buses page, click the name of the target bus.
Go to the Overview page of the target event bus and click Metric Monitoring in the left navigation pane.
On the Metric Monitoring page, click the icon in the top-right corner and select View Enterprise Monitoring Dashboard.
You can perform the following operations on the Monitoring page in the CloudMonitor console.
Add metrics to a metric repository
In the navigation pane on the left of the CloudMonitor console, click Metrics Repository.
On the Metric Repository page, click the repository name. On the Metric Repository Details page, click Add Metric.
In the Metric Management Panel dialog box, configure the following settings and click Close.
NoteThis topic uses the EventBridge product in the current account as an example. To add monitoring metrics for other services, see Manage data ingestion tasks.
Select the Cloud Product Metrics tab, and then click Add Account.
In the Add Account dialog box, select Current Account, and then click OK.
NoteAfter you add the account, the Elastic Computing Service (ECS) product is added by default. Hover the pointer over ECS, click the delete icon, and then add the EventBridge product.
Click the icon to the right of Current Account. In the Add Product dialog box, select the Event Buses cloud product and click OK.
Click Add Metric. In the Add Metric panel, select the metric for EventBridge, set the Data Precision, and click OK.
Create a monitoring dashboard
Dashboard types include System Preset, High-Precision Second-Level, Business, and Custom. This topic uses a custom dashboard as an example. For more information about how to create other types of dashboards, see Create a monitoring dashboard.
On the Monitoring page, click View Dashboard.
In the navigation pane on the left, hover over the icon and click Folder.
On the Dashboards page, enter a name for the new dashboard folder, and then click Create.
In the navigation pane on the left, click the icon, and then click Add an empty panel.
On the Edit Panel page, set the monitoring metrics and monitoring chart.
NoteThis topic uses the Filter Succeeded (count) chart as an example. In a production environment, you can create charts as needed.
On the Query tab, select the target metric repository, and then select the monitoring metrics.
On the Panel tab in the upper-right corner, set the name, type, and display style of the monitoring chart.
On the Edit Panel page, click Apply in the upper-right corner.
NoteTo add multiple charts to the New dashboard page, click the icon.
On the New dashboard page, click the icon.
In the panel, enter a name for the dashboard, select the dashboard folder, and then click Save.
Related operations
Subscribe to a dashboard
On the Monitoring page, click the Subscribe switch in the Actions column for the target monitoring dashboard.
In the Subscribe dialog box, set the Email and Running Time.
NoteGmail cannot display images correctly. Use a different mailbox.
Click Test Subscription.
If a message indicates that a screenshot has been sent to your mailbox, the test is successful. You will receive an email at the specified address.
Click OK.
View a dashboard
On the Monitoring page, click View in the Actions column for the target dashboard.
Delete a dashboard
On the Monitoring page, click Delete in the Actions column for the target dashboard, and then click OK in the Confirm Deletion dialog box.
