View metric monitoring

Prerequisites

• You have activated EventBridge and granted the required permissions.

• You have created a custom event bus.

Procedure

1. Log on to the EventBridge console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Event Buses.

2. In the top navigation bar, select a region. On the Event Buses page, click the name of the event bus that you want to manage.

3. On the bus's Overview page, click Metric Monitoring in the left-side navigation pane.

4. The Metric Monitoring page displays data for the following metrics.

   • Matched events (count/s)

     • Events matched by event rule: The number of events successfully matched by an event rule per second.

     • Unmatched events: The number of events that did not match any event rule.

   • Successful deliveries (count/s)

     • Successful event deliveries: The number of events successfully delivered to an event target, such as Function Compute.

     • Failed event deliveries: The number of events that EventBridge failed to deliver to an event target.

   • Downstream response time (ms)

     • Downstream response time of event rule: The end-to-end latency from when an event is published until the event target returns an acknowledgment.

   • Inbound events (count/s)

     • Input event(count): The total number of events successfully written to the custom event bus.

   

   Note

   • By default, the console displays metric data for the last hour. You can select a different time range at the top of the page.

   • If an event bus has multiple event rules, you can select a specific rule from the drop-down list at the top of the page to view its metrics.

   • You can click the icon in any metric chart to zoom in on its data.
