Log on to Alibaba Gov Cloud

After you create an account and complete identity verification, you can use the account to log on to the Alibaba Gov Cloud platform to purchase and use products.

Background information

  • Before you log on to the Alibaba Gov Cloud platform, make sure that you have created an account and completed identity verification.

  • To meet the security requirements of Alibaba Gov Cloud, you must attach a multi-factor authentication (MFA) device to your account to enhance logon security.

When MFA is enabled, you must provide your username and password (the first factor) and a security code from your MFA device (the second factor) to log on. This two-factor authentication provides stronger security for your account.

You can use the Alibaba Cloud app (V4.6 or later) to attach an MFA device. For the procedure, see How to attach and use MFA. If you use an app such as Google Authenticator to attach an MFA device, follow the steps below.

Note

  • You can use the Alibaba Cloud app (V4.6 or later) on Android and iPhone devices to attach an MFA device.

  • If you have already attached an MFA device using an app such as Google Authenticator, you can switch to the Alibaba Cloud app. For more information, see How to switch MFA applications.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud official website. Click your account name to go to the Account Management page: https://account.console.aliyun.com.

  2. On the Security Settings tab, find Virtual MFA and click Settings.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, follow the setup wizard to attach the device.

    1. Authenticate your identity. You can select phone verification or manual verification.

    2. Install the application.

      You can install a virtual MFA application on your smartphone. Search for and download a virtual MFA application from a major app store.

    3. Link the MFA application. Open the application on your smartphone and scan the QR code. To share the security code across multiple devices, install the MFA application on each device and scan the QR code. Before you proceed, make sure that the account is added and the same dynamic password appears on each device.

      Note

      This QR code contains the MFA key and is displayed only once. Do not share this QR code.

    4. Click Next. The device is attached.

  4. Log on again.

    1. Log out of the Management Console.

    2. Enter your username and password, and then click Log On.

    3. Open the MFA application on your smartphone, view the dynamic password, and enter it on the logon page.

    4. Complete the logon.
