How to apply for a public endpoint-ApsaraDB for HBase(Hbase)-阿里云帮助中心

ApsaraDB for HBase Performance-enhanced Edition instances support both private access over a VPC and public access over the internet. This topic describes how to enable a public endpoint.

Background information

Access network type	Description
VPC	Each instance includes a VPC endpoint by default. Connecting to your instance over a VPC is more secure.
Internet	You must manually enable a public endpoint. Public network access is for development, debugging, or testing only, is not intended for production, and its service availability is not guaranteed under the SLA. Public network bandwidth and network latency are limited, and performance will be significantly degraded.

Enable a public endpoint

Log on to the ApsaraDB for HBase console.
In the top navigation bar, select the region where your instance is located.
Click the target instance ID.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Database Connection, and then click Apply for Public Endpoint.
In the Apply for Public Endpoint dialog box, click OK.
Optional: View the public endpoint.
1. In the left-side navigation pane, click Database Connection.
2. In the Connection Information section, view the VPC and public endpoints for Java API Address, Thrift2 Access Address Using Non-Java Language, and CQL Address.
  Note
  To connect to the instance using the public endpoint, add your client's IP address to the whitelist. For more information, see Configure a whitelist.
