Purchase a cluster

Procedure

1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for HBase console. On the Clusters page, click Create HBase Cluster.

2. Configure the following parameters.

   Parameter	Description
   Billing method	Select subscription or pay-as-you-go. subscription: The system charges you upfront for the subscription duration based on the configuration that you select. pay-as-you-go: The system bills you for the resources that you use. You can start and stop the service as needed.
   Service	This parameter is automatically set to HBase.
   Service type	This parameter is automatically set to Performance-enhanced Edition.
   Region	Select the region where you want to deploy the cluster. Important You cannot change the region after the cluster is purchased. We recommend that you select a region that is geographically close to your target users to reduce network latency. Ensure that the ApsaraDB for HBase cluster and the ECS instance you want to connect are in the same region. Otherwise, they cannot communicate with each other over the internal network and must use a public endpoint, which degrades performance.
   Zone	A zone is a physical location within a region that has independent power and networking. Zones within the same VPC can communicate with each other over an internal network. Zones are isolated from each other to provide fault isolation.
   Deployment mode	Select a single-zone or multi-zone deployment. A multi-zone deployment provides zone-level disaster recovery by using a high-availability architecture that spans three zones. Note This parameter is available only for pay-as-you-go clusters. Multi-zone deployments are supported only in specific regions. For more information, see the options on the console.
   Multi-zone combination	Only common multi-zone combinations are displayed.
   Version	The default version is 2.0.
   Cluster name	Specify a custom name for the cluster.
   Network type	Currently, only Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) is supported.
   vpcId	Select the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) that you want to use. For information about how to create a VPC, see Create a VPC and a vSwitch.
   vswitchId	The vSwitch that corresponds to the selected VPC. For information about how to create a vSwitch, see Create a vSwitch. Note This parameter is not required for pay-as-you-go clusters that use a multi-zone deployment.
   Primary zone, Primary vSwitch Standby zone, Standby vSwitch Arbiter zone, Arbiter vSwitch	If you select a multi-zone deployment, you must specify the zone and vSwitch for each node role. Note This parameter is required only if you select Commodity Type for Billing method and multi-zone for Deployment mode.
   Master node specification	Master nodes are configured for high availability by default. For guidance on selecting a specification, see Select node specifications.
   Core node disk type	Choose the disk type that best fits your use case. Enhanced SSD (ESSD): Ideal for latency-sensitive online workloads, providing a typical latency of 1 ms to 2 ms. standard SSD: Applications with frequently accessed data or high I/O loads. NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, HBase, and Cassandra. ultra disk: I/O-intensive applications. Small to medium-sized relational databases. local HDD: Development and testing workloads. System disk. local SSD: Applications with infrequently accessed data or low I/O loads. Cost-effective applications that require random read/write I/O. Note The available core disk types vary by region. For more information, see the options on the purchase page.
   Core node specification	For guidance on selecting a specification, see Select node specifications.
   Number of core nodes	Select the number of core nodes. You can add more nodes later. Note The valid range for the number of core nodes varies based on the disk type. For more information, see the options on the console.
   Storage per core node	The available storage capacity per core node depends on the selected disk type and specification. For more information, see the options on the console.
   Log node disk type	For pay-as-you-go, multi-zone deployments of ApsaraDB for HBase Performance-enhanced Edition, standard SSDs and ultra disks are supported. Note This parameter is required only if you select Commodity Type for Billing method and multi-zone for Deployment mode.
   Log node specification	You can select the log node specification for pay-as-you-go, multi-zone deployments of ApsaraDB for HBase Performance-enhanced Edition. Note This parameter is required only if you select Commodity Type for Billing method and multi-zone for Deployment mode.
   Number of log nodes	Select the number of log nodes. Note This parameter is required only if you select pay-as-you-go for Billing method and multi-zone for Deployment mode.
   Storage per log node	Select the storage capacity for a single log node. The value can range from 400 GB to 64,000 GB. Note This parameter is required only if you select Commodity Type for Billing method and multi-zone for Deployment mode.
   Enable cold storage	Use cold storage to store data separately for scenarios such as data archiving and accessing infrequently used historical data. Yes: Enables the cold storage feature. No: Disables the cold storage feature. Note Cold storage is not supported for multi-zone deployments.
   Cold storage capacity	Select the cold storage capacity for the cluster in GB. Note This parameter is available only when you set the Enable cold storage parameter to Yes.
   Resource group	Resource groups allow you to centrally manage multiple cloud resources across different regions under a single Alibaba Cloud account. You can add the cluster to an existing resource group or create a new one.
   Duration	For subscription clusters, select a duration. You can select a duration of 1 to 9 months, or 1 to 3 years. Note To enable automatic renewal for your cluster, select Auto-renewal Recommended and ensure that your account has a sufficient balance before the expiration date.

3. Click Buy Now.

4. On the Confirm Order page, agree to the terms of service, and then click Pay.
