When your resource plan's CU balance falls below a specified threshold, you can notify contacts to renew the plan promptly. You can also configure an SMS throttling policy.
Alerting policy
-
You can set a balance alert threshold. When your balance falls below this threshold, the system sends an alert notification to your contacts by SMS and email.
-
You can set a silence period, which defines the minimum interval between consecutive alerts for the same authentication method. If an alert is triggered within this period, the system suppresses it.
-
You can select contacts to notify from the Contact List.
-
You can enable or disable alert notifications. To prevent service suspension due to an insufficient balance, keep alert notifications enabled.
On the Alerting Policy tab, the Balance Alert Threshold (CU) defaults to 1,000, and the Alert Interval defaults to 120 minutes. The valid range for the interval is 5 minutes to 2 hours.
Contact settings
-
You can add multiple contacts. Each contact requires a mobile number and an email address.
-
You can search for, edit, and delete contacts.
SMS throttling policy
-
You can configure an SMS throttling policy for SMS verification codes based on mobile number and client IP.
-
You can block excessive message delivery by requiring a CAPTCHA or stopping delivery.
-
If a limit is exceeded, the system notifies contacts and stops further SMS delivery.
-
Alibaba Cloud applies a service-level limit of 40 SMS verification codes per day for each mobile number.
For Single Mobile Number, you can set thresholds over 1-minute, 1-hour, and 1-day periods. By default, a CAPTCHA is triggered after 1, 5, or 20 messages are sent in these respective periods, and delivery is stopped after 5, 20, or 50 messages. For Single Client IP, the same time periods apply, and a CAPTCHA is triggered by default after 10, 50, or 500 messages, respectively. The Total Threshold lets you set 1-day and 30-day total sending limits, which defaults to 0.
The system sends notifications to contacts based on the settings in the Alerting Policy. Therefore, you must enable the Alerting Policy first.
