Intelligent Search billing
Billing description
After you enable the index service, the system allocates storage space and begins to charge storage fees.
After your index service subscription (Trial or Enterprise Edition) expires, your search library enters a 7-day grace period. After this period, the library is automatically deleted and you can no longer perform searches.
Billing rules
Large Language Model (LLM) search is billed based on the storage duration of vector features and the number of searches. The storage for each image is calculated as 3 seconds of storage duration. If the vector feature storage is less than one billing unit, it is rounded up to one unit. If the storage duration is less than one day, it is rounded up to one day. If the number of searches is less than 1,000, it is rounded up to 1,000. You are not charged for failed searches or storage.
Tag search is billed based on the storage duration of vector features and the number of searches. If the vector feature storage is less than one billing unit, it is rounded up to one unit. If the storage duration is less than one day, it is rounded up to one day. If the number of searches is less than 1,000, it is rounded up to 1,000. You are not charged for failed searches or storage.
Face search is billed based on the number of stored faces and the number of searches. If the number of stored faces is less than one billing unit, it is rounded up to one unit. If the storage duration is less than one day, it is rounded up to one day. If the number of searches is less than 1,000, it is rounded up to 1,000. You are not charged for failed searches or storage.
Billing cycles
Storage is billed on a daily basis. Alibaba Cloud measures your usage from the previous day and generates a bill on the following day. The actual billing time is determined by the system.
Searches are billed on an hourly basis. Alibaba Cloud measures your usage from the previous hour and generates a bill in the following hour. The actual billing time is determined by the system.

Billing examples
Example 1
Assume you enabled the Intelligent Search service in a region in China. The search type is 'LLM search - Dedicated instance (more than 10,000 hours of media assets)'. You have stored 19,000 hours of media assets. According to the billing rules, this is rounded up to 20,000 hours of storage resources, which is equivalent to two 10,000-hour units. The vector storage fee for one day is calculated as follows: 1 day × CNY 650 (per day per 10,000 hours of storage) × 2 units = CNY 1,300.
Example 2
Assume you use the Intelligent Search service in the Chinese mainland region between 8:00 and 9:00 on a given day. The search type is 'LLM search - Dedicated instance (more than 10,000 hours of media assets)'. You perform 900 LLM searches. According to the billing rules, this is rounded up to 1,000 searches. The search fee is calculated as follows: CNY 0.08 (per 1,000 searches) × 1 = CNY 0.08.
Example 3
Assume you enabled the Intelligent Search service in a region in China. The search type is 'Face search - Dedicated (more than 1 million faces)'. You have stored 1.99 million faces. According to the billing rules, this is rounded up to 2 million faces, which is equivalent to two 1-million-face units. The face storage fee for one day is calculated as follows: 1 day × CNY 5.00 (per day per 1 million faces) × 2 units = CNY 10.00.
