Digital watermarking

Digital watermarking includes copyright watermarks and tracing watermarks. The billing for each feature is based on its specific billable items.

• Billing rules

  • Copyright watermark: You are billed for adding and extracting copyright watermarks based on the duration of successfully processed videos. The cost is calculated by multiplying the total duration in minutes of successfully processed videos by the unit price. You are not billed for failed tasks.

  • Tracing watermark: You are billed for adding and extracting tracing watermarks based on the duration of successfully processed videos. The cost is calculated by multiplying the total duration in minutes of successfully processed videos by the unit price. You are also billed for each successful generation of a playback file for tracing. This cost is calculated by multiplying the number of successful generations by the unit price. You are not billed for failed tasks.

• Billing cycle: Alibaba Cloud measures your service usage in a 6-hour cycle and generates a bill in the following 6-hour cycle. The exact billing time may vary.

  The following table lists the billable items and prices for digital watermarking, using the Chinese mainland region as an example.

• Billing examples:

  • Example: If you add copyright watermarks to 500 minutes of video and also extract copyright watermarks from 500 minutes of video, and all tasks are successful, the cost is: 500 minutes × CNY 1/minute + 500 minutes × CNY 1/minute = CNY 1,000.

  • Example: If you add tracing watermarks to 500 minutes of video and generate 100 playback files, and all tasks are successful, the cost is: 500 minutes × CNY 1.5/minute + 100 times × CNY 0.01/time = CNY 751.
