Alert Center

Updated at:

IoT Platform provides a monitoring and alerting feature for public instances in the China (Shanghai) region. This feature processes alert information triggered by scene orchestration rules in the rules engine.

Prerequisites

A scene orchestration rule has been created and applied to the cloud. For more information, see Cloud-based scene orchestration.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the IoT Platform console.
  2. On the Instance Overview page, click Public Instance.
  3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Monitoring and O&M > Alert Center.
  4. Click the Alert Configuration tab, and then click Create Alert Rule.
  5. Set the alert rule parameters.
    Table 1. Parameter descriptions
    Parameter Description
Alert rule name The name of the alert rule. The name can contain Chinese characters, uppercase and lowercase letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-). The name must be 4 to 32 characters in length.
Alert rule description The description of the alert rule. This parameter can be left empty.
Alert level Select an alert level for the rule. Five alert levels are supported. A smaller number indicates a higher severity level: 1 > 2 > 3 > 4 > 5.
Notification method Select a method to notify O&M personnel when the alert rule is triggered.
    • Alert Center: When an alert rule is triggered, the alert information is displayed on the Alert List tab. By default, all alert information is displayed on the Alert List tab.
    • DingTalk Robot: When an alert rule is triggered, the alert information is displayed on the Alert List tab and a message is sent to a DingTalk group using a DingTalk robot. If you select DingTalk Robot, you must enter the webhook URL of the DingTalk robot. For more information, see the official DingTalk document.
Note When you use a DingTalk robot for notifications, note the following limits:

Each DingTalk robot can send a maximum of 20 messages per minute. If this limit is exceeded, message delivery is throttled for 10 minutes.

Associated trigger scenario Select the scene orchestration rule that you want to associate. When the associated scenario is triggered, this alert is triggered. You can also click Add Rule to create a scene orchestration rule. For more information, see Cloud-based scene orchestration.
  6. Click Confirm to create the alert rule. The rule is successfully created if its Cloud-side Running Status is Running.

You can use the buttons in the Operations column to manage the alert rule.
