Installation instructions
To install an edge appliance, you must meet the environmental requirements and follow the correct installation procedures.

Basic environmental requirements

Network | These appliances support only wired networks. All models support Gigabit Ethernet, and some models also support 10 GB optical fiber networks. Installation methods
The installation method varies depending on the type of edge appliance:
S-type (Server) edge appliance
These appliances are rack-mounted. You must prepare a standard rack that is 1.2 meters deep. Each S-series edge appliance requires at least 4U of rack space. For detailed installation instructions for specific S-series models, see the installation guide included with your device.
B-type (Box) edge appliance
The installation method for B-type edge appliances depends on the specific model. For detailed installation steps, see the installation guide included with your device. The methods include the following:
Rack tray mounting: Some models are installed on a tray within a rack.
DIN rail mounting: Some models include DIN rail clips and are mounted on a DIN rail within a rack.
