Disable a RAM user

Updated at:

After a solution provider completes device development and delivery, the device owner can change the logon settings for the Resource Access Management (RAM) user. This revokes the provider's permissions to access the console and manage devices using cloud applications.

Procedure

The following steps describe how to disable a RAM user. You can also delete the RAM user directly. For more information about deleting a RAM user, see Delete a RAM user.

  1. Log on to the RAM console by using an Alibaba Cloud account or a RAM user who has administrative rights.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Identities > Users.

  3. Click the name of the target RAM user. On the user details page, disable console logon and the AccessKey.

    • Disable console logon

      1. On the Authentication tab, click Modify Logon Settings.

      2. In the Modify Logon Settings panel, under Console Access, select Disable. Keep the default values for the other parameters.

      3. Click OK to save the settings.

    • Disable the AccessKey

      1. On the Authentication tab, in the User AccessKeys section, find the target AccessKey ID and click Disable in the Actions column.

      2. Click Disable to disable the RAM user's AccessKey.
