IoT Platform provides monitoring and alerting for public instances in the China (Shanghai) region. This feature processes alerts triggered by scene linkage rules in the rule engine.
Prerequisites
Create a scene linkage rule and deploy it to the cloud. For more information, see Cloud-based Scenes.Important As of January 6, 2023, Alert Center has been upgraded to Event Response Service.
- Instances that are already configured to use Alert Center are not affected.
- For new instances, use Event Response Service for alert management. For more information, see What is Event Response.
Procedure
- Log on to the IoT Platform console.
- On the Overview page, find and click the public instance.
- In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
- Click the alert rule tab, and then click Create Alert Rule.
- Configure the parameters for the alert rule.
Table 1. Parameters Parameter Description Alert rule name The name of the alert rule. The name can contain Chinese characters, uppercase and lowercase letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-). The name must be 4 to 32 characters in length. Alert rule description A description of the alert rule. This parameter is optional. Alert level Select an alert level from 1 (most severe) to 5 (least severe). Notification method Select the method for notifying alert handlers when an alert rule is triggered. - Alert Center: When the alert rule is triggered, an alert is displayed on the Alert History tab. By default, all alerts are displayed on this tab.
- DingTalk chatbot: When the alert rule is triggered, an alert is displayed on the Alert History tab and a message is sent to a DingTalk group via a DingTalk chatbot. If you select DingTalk chatbot, you must enter the webhook URL for the chatbot. For more information, see the official DingTalk documentation. Note When you use a DingTalk chatbot for notifications, be aware of the following limitation:
Each DingTalk chatbot can send a maximum of 20 messages per minute. If this limit is exceeded, the chatbot is throttled for 10 minutes.
Associated triggering scene Select the scene linkage rule to associate with this alert. You can also click Add Rule to create a new scene linkage rule. For more information, see Cloud-based Scenes. - Click OK to create the alert rule. The rule is created successfully when its cloud-running status is Running.
You can manage alert rules by using the buttons in the Actions column.
Actions Description Edit Modify the rule's description, notification method, or associated scene linkage rule. Stop or Start Stop or start the alert rule. Delete Delete the alert rule. - On the Alert History tab, you can view All Alerts or only those with the To Be Processed status.
You can handle an alert by using the buttons in its Actions column.
Actions Description View View the alert details. Ignore Ignore the alert. Handle Enter your handling notes and then click OK. Note For handled or ignored alerts, only the View action is available.
