This topic describes how to activate theLindorm Columnar Engine and view its endpoint.

Before you begin

  • You can activate the Columnar Engine only for Lindorm instances. This feature is not supported for legacy instances. To check the service type of your instance, see Product series.

  • The Columnar Engine requires the Lindorm Compute Engine. Ensure that your instance meets the following requirements:

    • The Lindorm Compute Engine is activated. For instructions, see Activate services.

    • At least one available ETL resource group is configured.

    • At least one available OLAP resource group is configured.

  • The Lindorm Columnar Engine periodically schedules ETL resources from the Compute Engine to run data lake governance tasks. This process consumes IP addresses from the vSwitch associated with the instance. To prevent service interruptions, ensure that the associated vSwitch has sufficient available IP addresses.
