This document describes how to manually synchronize nodes between IoT Platform and Alibaba Cloud Link WAN. This method lets you ingest data from N node groups into a single product in IoT Platform.

This method lets you switch data destinations after configuration. You can send data from multiple node groups to a single product, which enables N-to-1 data forwarding. This is useful for data aggregation. However, you must manage the node lists on both platforms and manually maintain the mapping.

Step 1: Create a product and a device in IoT Platform

  1. Log on to the IoT Platform console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Device Management > Products. Click Create Product.
  3. Configure the product.
    Parameter Description
    Product Name Air Box (customizable).
    Category Select Custom Category.
Node Type Select Direct Connection Device.
Connection Method Select Other. Do not select LoRaWAN.
Note Because the two products are associated manually, set Connection Method to Other.
    Data Format Pass-through/Custom.
  4. After the product is created, click Manage Device.
  5. Click Add Device to add a device to the product.

Step 2: Configure the egress on Alibaba Cloud Link WAN

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Link WAN console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Node Management > Node Groups. For a node group, click Data Forwarding in the Operations column. In the Data Destination drop-down list, select the Air Box product that you created.
  3. Click Confirm to complete the data forwarding configuration.

Step 3: Add a node and manually manage the mapping

When you add a new node, you must add it in both the Alibaba Cloud Link WAN console and the IoT Platform console. Data is forwarded based on the mapping: DevEUI = Device name (lowercase).
