Manage relays
The relay management feature lets you manage the relay devices in your network. Relays and gateway devices are both network elements. In areas with poor signal, you can add battery-powered relays to extend network coverage. This topic describes how to add a relay.
Procedure
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Link WAN console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
On the Relay Management page, click Add Relay.
On the Add Relay page, configure the parameters.
Parameter
Description
Basic information
Name
The name of the relay. The name must be 4 to 30 characters long and can contain Chinese characters, letters, digits, and underscores (_). A Chinese character is counted as two characters.
DevEUI
The DevEUI of the relay. The DevEUI is a 16-digit hexadecimal value that is usually printed on the device tag.
PIN Code
The PIN is a 6-digit number usually printed on the device tag.
Frequency band
Only the CN470 hetero-frequency is supported.
Class
Only Class A is supported.
Relay description
Enter additional information about the relay. The description can be up to 100 characters in length. This parameter is optional.
Location information
Region
Select the region where the relay is located.
Location details
Enter the specific location of the relay. You can also click a location on the map on the right.
Click Confirm.
