Alibaba Cloud RTS provides mobile and web demos for you to try the service. We recommend that you start with the mobile demo. This topic describes how to run the RTS demo.
Prerequisites

Generate a signed ingest URL. For more information, see Get started with ApsaraVideo Live.

Enable the RTS service. For more information, see Enable the Real-Time Streaming (RTS) service.

Download and install Open Broadcaster Software (OBS). For more information, see OBS tool.

Usage notes

If you use an HTTPS domain name for stream ingest or stream pulling, you must configure an HTTPS certificate in the console. For more information, see Configure HTTPS secure acceleration.

If your live streaming involves cross-border acceleration between the Chinese mainland and other regions such as Hong Kong (China), Macao (China), Taiwan (China), or other countries, you must configure cross-border acceleration in the console. For more information, see Configure cross-border acceleration.

To protect content security, configure access control in the console by setting up URL signing. For more information, see URL signing.
Procedure

Ingest a stream.
Method 1: Use OBS to ingest a stream over RTMP. For more information, see Live stream ingest.
Method 2: Use OBS to ingest a stream over WHIP. For more information, see OBS RTS stream ingest.
Method 3: Ingest an RTS stream from a web client.

Go to the RTS player for web.

Click the Stream Ingest tab.

Expand the none drop-down list and select camera or screen (screen sharing) based on your requirements.
If you select camera, click Get devices and grant access to the microphone and camera in the pop-up dialog box. After you grant access, expand the Select Microphone and Select Camera drop-down lists and select your microphone and camera.

Click Create Local Stream.

Enter the generated RTS ingest URL. For example:
artc://example.aliyundoc.com/liveApp****/liveStream****?auth_key=1543302081-0-0-9c6e7c8190c10bdfb3c0****. -
Click Start.

Play an RTS stream.
Mobile client

Scan the QR code to download and install the ApsaraVideo MediaBox SDK Demo. Alternatively, copy the URL from the QR code and open it in a browser to download the demo.

Select Live Stream and tap RTS. Enter or scan the playback URL of your RTS stream.
NoteOn iOS, you must trust the developer profile before opening the app. Go to Settings > General > Device Management, find the Taobao profile, and tap Trust.

Tap Start Playback to play the RTS stream.
Web client

Go to the RTS player for web.

Click the Stream Pulling tab.

Enter the playback URL of your RTS stream.
On the Stream Pulling tab, paste the URL into the Please enter a pulling URL field and click Start.
Note-
Due to browser security policies for WebRTC, you must configure an HTTPS certificate for the RTS streaming domain name. Otherwise, playback may fail.

The Web RTS SDK does not support videos with B-frames or audio in AAC format. If your stream contains B-frames or uses AAC audio, transcode the stream first. Then, use the transcoded stream URL for playback. For more information about how to transcode a stream, see RTS transcoding.

Click Start to play the RTS stream.
