Review management
After purchasing and activating a product from the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace, customers can submit reviews in the console. Service providers can view and reply to these reviews from their console. This topic describes the product review rules for the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.
Review period for Alibaba Cloud Marketplace products
After purchasing an Alibaba Cloud Marketplace product, you can submit a review within a specified period. For more information about how to review a product, see Review a product.
The initial review period is within 30 days of successful service activation. For products with a service stream, this period starts after the service is confirmed. If a review is not submitted within 30 days, the system automatically assigns a five-star rating and disables the initial review option.
The follow-up review period is within 90 days after the initial review is completed. After this period, the follow-up review option is disabled.
Submitting a review
The review text box cannot be empty. Reviews cannot exceed 500 characters.
Review display rules
Five-star reviews: Published immediately and are visible to everyone.
Non-five-star reviews: These reviews have a 48-hour negotiation period. During this period, only the service provider can view the review. After 48 hours, the review is published and becomes visible to everyone.
System-default reviews: If the review period expires, the system assigns a default five-star rating. This rating is not displayed on the product page. However, if a customer submits a follow-up review, the follow-up review is displayed.
Review modification period and rules
You can modify or delete a review for an order within 30 days of its submission.
You can modify or delete a review only once. After a review is modified, it is final. If you delete a review, you cannot review the order again. When you modify a review, you can change the rating score, tags, and comment content. When you delete a review, only the comment content is removed, but the rating score remains.
Modifications or deletions take effect immediately and are visible to everyone.
Modifying or deleting follow-up reviews
You can submit a follow-up review within 90 days of completing the initial review.
You can submit a follow-up review only once. A follow-up review can be modified or deleted within 30 days of its submission.
Service provider reply rules
Service providers can reply once to each initial review and each follow-up review. They can reply to both five-star and non-five-star reviews.
The reply period for both initial and follow-up reviews is within 30 days of the review's submission. After this period, the reply option is disabled.
