Knowledge base

Updated at:

A knowledge base is a free platform feature that uses retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technology to optimize AIGC tools. You can upload your company's knowledge and combine it with the tool's underlying Large Language Model (LLM). This process reduces issues, such as model hallucination or outdated information, and optimizes the tool's output. The tool can then generate content that is more suitable for your business scenarios and needs.

In the navigation bar, click Tool Capability Enhancement and then click Knowledge Base to open the knowledge base page.

1. Create a knowledge base

Click the Create Knowledge Base button. Enter a name and description for the knowledge base. You can create a maximum of 10 knowledge bases per account.

2. Upload knowledge

The knowledge base currently supports uploading two types of documents: knowledge documents and FAQ documents.

For knowledge documents, you must upload documents that meet the specified format requirements to ensure effective understanding and retrieval.

For FAQ documents, you can either add Q&A pairs manually or import a spreadsheet file from a template.

After you click the OK button, check the file processing status in the file list. A status of 'Processing Successful' indicates that the file has been successfully imported into the knowledge base and is ready for use with AIGC tools.

3. Manage knowledge

You can search and filter knowledge files in the file list by name, upload date, or processing status. You can also view, download, or delete any file. Note: After a file is deleted, it is permanently removed from the knowledge base and cannot be recovered. To restore the file, you must upload it again.

4. Manage the knowledge base

You can view, edit, modify the settings of, and delete a knowledge base.

  • Edit knowledge base: Edit the name and description of the knowledge base.

  • Modify knowledge base settings: Modify the model parameters of the knowledge base.

Model parameters are divided into two categories: Basic Settings and Application Scenario Settings. The knowledge base currently supports the following application scenarios: "Digital Human - Live Q&A", "Digital Human - Video Script", and "Text Generation". Basic Settings apply to all application scenarios. Application Scenario Settings, however, only take effect for their specified scenarios.

You can configure application scenario settings for the product tools you have purchased. For example, if you purchased the "Digital Human Video Generation" tool on Zhichuang, you can set the parameters for the "Digital Human - Live Q&A" and "Digital Human - Video Script" application scenarios when you modify the knowledge base settings.

Of the currently available parameters, only Conversation Policy Settings can be edited. Other parameters use system default configurations. Support for editing more parameters will be added in future updates. After you click the Save button, your changes take effect immediately.

  • Delete knowledge base: Delete the knowledge base and all documents within it. This action cannot be undone.
