Customize the no-permission page
This topic describes how to configure a custom no-permission page.
Introduction
After you configure page access permissions for different users in a permission group, any user who tries to access a page without the necessary permissions is shown a specific page. This can be the default page provided by the Mobi-Flow platform or a custom page configured by a developer. This feature provides greater flexibility.
Configure the no-permission page
In the Mobi-Flow application editor, click the Application Settings button in the lower-left corner. Go to General > No-Permission Page to configure a custom no-permission page.
By default, new applications use the built-in page from the Mobi-Flow platform as the no-permission page. You can select another page from the drop-down list and click Save in the lower-right corner. The selected page is then used as the no-permission page.
The settings for the no-permission page and the home page are mutually exclusive. The home page cannot be set as the no-permission page, and vice versa.
You cannot delete a page that is set as the no-permission page. To delete the page, you must first remove its no-permission page configuration.
While configuring the no-permission page, you can click the button to the right of the drop-down list to open the selected page. This opens the page on the canvas, allowing you to view its content.
Set up permission groups
If you use a custom page as the no-permission page, you must configure its permissions in permission groups. Click Permission Group Configuration in the prompt to go directly to the permission group configuration page.
The default no-permission page is built into the Mobi-Flow platform and can be used directly without any permission group configuration.
For more information, see Permission group management.
On the permission group management page, select the desired permission group.
Go to the edit page for the permission group. In the Application Access Permissions section, select the current application. Then, click Permission Settings to configure permissions for specific pages.
Ensure that the custom no-permission page you configured is selected.
When you grant a permission group access to the current application, ensure that you also select the configured no-permission page. This is required so that users have permission to view it.
