Use large model APIs in Chatbox-Alibaba Cloud Model Studio(Model Studio)-阿里云帮助中心

Chatbox is a cross-platform AI client application. Connect it to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio via Token Plan Personal Edition, Token Plan (Team Edition), Coding Plan, or pay-as-you-go.

Install Chatbox

Go to the Chatbox website and download the installer for your operating system, or use the web version directly.

Configure Access Credentials

In Chatbox, click Settings at the bottom left, click Model Provider, and click Add at the bottom. In the pop-up, enter a Name, set API Mode to OpenAI API Compatible, and click Add. Then fill in the API Key and API Host according to your billing plan.

Alibaba Cloud Model Studio offers the following billing plans:

Token Plan Personal Edition: Deducts personal Credits based on token consumption.
Token Plan (Team Edition): seat-based subscription, token consumption deducted from Credits.
Coding Plan: fixed monthly subscription, metered by model invocation count.
Pay-as-you-go: post-paid based on actual usage.

Token Plan Personal Edition

Parameter	Description
API Key	Enter the Token Plan Personal Edition dedicated API Key.
API Host	`https://token-plan.ap-southeast-1.maas.aliyuncs.com/compatible-mode/v1`
Model	Enter a Token Plan Personal Edition supported model, such as `qwen3.8-max-preview`.

Token Plan (Team Edition)

Parameter	Description
API Key	Enter the Token Plan (Team Edition) dedicated API Key.
API Host	`https://token-plan.ap-southeast-1.maas.aliyuncs.com/compatible-mode/v1` Leave the API Path empty.
Model	Click New and enter a model name in Model ID. For available models, see Token Plan supported models.

Coding Plan

Parameter	Description
API Key	Enter the Coding Plan dedicated API Key.
API Host	`https://coding-intl.dashscope.aliyuncs.com/v1` Leave the API Path empty.
Model	Click New and enter a model name in Model ID. For available models, see Coding Plan supported models.

Pay-as-you-go

Parameter	Description
API Key	Enter the Alibaba Cloud Model Studio API Key.
API Host	Enter the URL based on the deployment region, replace `{WorkspaceId}` in the URL with your actual Workspace ID: China North 2 (Beijing): `https://{WorkspaceId}.cn-beijing.maas.aliyuncs.com/compatible-mode/v1` Singapore: `https://{WorkspaceId}.ap-southeast-1.maas.aliyuncs.com/compatible-mode/v1` US (Virginia): `https://dashscope-us.aliyuncs.com/compatible-mode/v1` Leave the API Path empty.
Model	Click New and enter a supported model name in Model ID.

Verify Configuration

After completing the configuration, type "Hello" in the chat box and send it. If the model responds normally, the configuration is successful.
