Connect WorkBuddy
Use Alibaba Cloud Model Studio models in WorkBuddy.
Quick Start
Sign in and configure it as follows.

Get an API Key
Get the API Key for your billing plan:
- Token Plan Personal Edition: Create or view API Key
- Token Plan Team Edition: Assign a seat and get the API Key
- Pay-as-you-go: Model Studio API Key
- Coding Plan: Coding Plan API Key

Configure the model
Click the model selector at the bottom of the chat interface and click Configure custom models at the bottom of the list. You can also open Settings from the avatar in the lower-left corner and select Model. Click Add model, select Custom as the provider, and enter the values for your plan:

- The API address is not completed automatically. Enter the complete Chat Completions address ending with
/chat/completions. - Custom models support only the OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions protocol. The Responses API and Anthropic protocol are not supported.
Click Save after entering the values. You can click Test connection to verify connectivity.

Verify
Select the added model from the model selector at the bottom of the chat interface and ask a question. A normal response confirms the configuration.

FAQ
How do I use savings plans and resource plans with pay-as-you-go?
The pay-as-you-go setup remains the same: use your general Model Studio API key and Base URL. After you purchase a savings plan or resource plan, it takes effect automatically and eligible usage is deducted automatically. See Savings plans and resource plans.
401 or authentication failure when calling
Check that the API Key is from the same region as the Base URL. For pay-as-you-go, if you use the Singapore Base URL, the API Key must also be from Singapore.
Model does not exist when calling a model
The model name is sent as the model parameter in the request and must exactly match a Model Studio model name (case-sensitive, without extra prefixes or suffixes). Check the model name in the custom model settings and try again.
