Monitoring and logging are essential for the availability, health, and smooth operation of your ApsaraVideo for Media Processing resources. You can use various monitoring services to continuously collect data. Alibaba Cloud provides a suite of services for monitoring, logging, and auditing, such as CloudMonitor and Cloud Config. These services help you monitor your cloud resource usage and operational status in real time and promptly respond to alerts.
Health status monitoring
We recommend that you monitor the health status of your cloud resources in real time. This allows you to take timely and appropriate action if any abnormalities occur. For more information about health status, see the Alibaba Cloud Status page.
On the Alibaba Cloud Health Status page, you can check the real-time status of cloud services in each region and subscribe to RSS feeds for service status updates.
Basic monitoring
ApsaraVideo for Media Processing is integrated with CloudMonitor, a service that provides free, real-time monitoring for your cloud resources and applications. You can monitor the operational status of your cloud products, the resource usage of Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances, and the health of your websites and services.
You must enable this feature manually. For instructions, see Monitoring and alarm integration.
Custom alert rules for metrics
You can create custom dashboards to quickly collect and visualize custom metric data. For more information, see Manage monitoring charts in custom dashboards.
You can set an alert rule for each metric. Notification methods include phone calls, SMS messages, emails, DingTalk chatbot messages, and notifications through the Alibaba Cloud app.
The alert blacklist feature suppresses alert notifications for specific metrics. For instructions, see Create an alert blacklist policy.
Resource configuration auditing
ApsaraVideo for Media Processing is integrated with Cloud Config. This service tracks the configuration history of your cloud resources and audits them for compliance. It enables autonomous monitoring and ensures the ongoing compliance of your infrastructure.
Resource configuration detection
Cloud Config records the operations of your Alibaba Cloud account and all associated RAM users. By default, it records resource configuration changes every 10 minutes.
Enable cloud pre-check for MLPS 2.0
Cloud Config interprets the regulations of MLPS 2.0 and implements corresponding checks for your cloud resource configurations. You can enable the MLPS 2.0 cloud pre-check with a single click to continuously monitor resource compliance. You can also download pre-check reports for submission to certified evaluation institutions.
Real-time query and analysis of audit data
You can query and analyze all your log data from a central location. For more information, see Deliver data to Log Service (SLS).
Resource operation auditing
ApsaraVideo for Media Processing integrates with ActionTrail to centrally manage operation logs for your cloud resources. It records user logins and resource access activities under your cloud account, enabling security analysis, intrusion detection, resource change tracking, and compliance auditing.
ActionTrail logs access and usage of cloud products and services through the Alibaba Cloud console, OpenAPI, and developer tools. For a list of supported audit events for ApsaraVideo for Media Processing, see Audit events for Media Processing.
By default, ActionTrail tracks and stores events from the last 90 days. To retain logs longer, you must create a trail to deliver events to Log Service (SLS) or Object Storage Service (OSS). For detailed instructions, see Create a trail.
After delivering events to SLS or OSS, you can use their respective consoles to query and analyze the events. For instructions, see Query events by using the SLS or OSS console.
