NAS uses pay-as-you-go billing by default. Purchase resource plans to offset storage fees. Plans can be stacked for more capacity. When a plan expires or is exhausted, excess usage reverts to pay-as-you-go.

Purchase recommendations
Offset limitations
-
NAS resource plans offset NAS fees only, not fees for other Alibaba Cloud products.
-
Each resource plan type offsets capacity fees only for its corresponding file system type. Resource plan types.
-
Region-specific plans offset capacity fees only within that region. A General resource plan for the Chinese mainland offsets fees across multiple Chinese mainland regions. Offset regions.
-
Expired or exhausted plans revert excess usage to pay-as-you-go billing.
Offset regions
NAS offers region-specific resource plans and General resource plans for the Chinese mainland.
|
Type |
Description |
|
Resource plan for a specific region① |
Offsets capacity fees for file systems in a specific region only. Not shareable across regions②. |
|
General resource plan for the Chinese mainland① |
Offsets capacity fees for file systems across multiple Chinese mainland regions③. |
① You can purchase both types simultaneously. Region-specific plans are applied first; after exhaustion, the General plan applies. Remaining usage is billed pay-as-you-go.
② Example: A China (Hangzhou) plan offsets fees only for resources in that region.
③ Regions supported by the General resource plan for the Chinese mainland.

Offset order
Multiple resource plans of the same type are applied in this order:
-
Plans expiring earliest are applied first. Plans with the same expiration date are applied in purchase order.
Example: Plans A, B, and C in China (Hangzhou). C expires first; A and B expire together but A was purchased first. Offset order: C, A, B.
-
After a plan is exhausted, excess usage is billed pay-as-you-go.
If your account has a resource plan, a Storage Capacity Unit (SCU), and a storage plan, capacity is offset in the order shown below.
