This topic describes the pricing and billing for Optimization Solver.
Billing units
The billing units for Mathematical Programming Solver are:
Concurrency: The number of concurrent solver processes that can run at the same time. Release the processes promptly after use.
Duration: The period for which the service is valid. The billing granularity varies by product. Some products are billed daily, and others are billed hourly.

Pay-as-you-go
The pay-as-you-go edition is a post-paid service.
The online low concurrency and high concurrency editions support pay-as-you-go.
Note: When a service instance is running, you are continuously billed for the purchased concurrency of the low concurrency edition and the base concurrency (8 concurrent processes) of the high concurrency edition.
Service suspension and resumption for overdue payments
For pay-as-you-go products, payment is automatically deducted after a bill is generated.
Service suspension: If an automatic payment deduction fails because your account has an overdue payment, your service is suspended. You will receive a suspension notification. Alibaba Cloud sends reminders 12 hours and 23 hours after your payment becomes overdue. Monitor your Alibaba Cloud account balance to prevent service interruptions.
Service resumption: Your service resumes immediately after you settle the overdue payment.
Refunds
Request a refund
For the offline edition with a node-locked license, you can cancel the service and request a refund before the license is generated. To do this, go to the purchased services list in the Optimization Solver console and click Refund.
For the low concurrency edition, you can request a refund in the Alibaba Cloud console under Expenses and Costs > Order Management > Unsubscribe Management.
When refunds are not available
Services that have been provisioned and cannot be revoked are not refundable. For example:
For the online subscription and pay-as-you-go editions, fees for the elapsed service period are not refundable.
For the offline edition with a node-locked license, refunds are not provided after the license is generated.

Service changes
Update software packages
You can select the software version that you want to use. Download and install it in your environment. New software versions are released periodically on the "Download and install the solver SDK" page. All versions are available on the "Previous Version Downloads" page. Follow the release notes and download the updates as needed. The authentication service is automatically updated when you install a new software package.
To change the machine ID for an offline, node-locked license:
In principle, orders cannot be changed or refunded after production begins.
In special cases, contact your company's technical owner. The owner must contact us by email. The email must clearly describe the reason for the change and the requested changes. Our team will review the request and contact you to proceed.
