Use the OSS console

Existing bucket

  1. Log on to the OSS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Buckets. On the Buckets page, find and click the desired bucket.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Management > Scheduled Backup.

  4. On the Scheduled Backup tab, create a backup plan.

    Free backup plan

Cloud Backup provides a 30-day free trial for OSS scheduled backup. No Cloud Backup fees are incurred during the trial period.

    Important

Free plans do not allow editing the backup path or interval. Each free plan uses a separate backup vault that persists even after upgrading to a paid plan. To consolidate backups into a single vault, use a paid plan instead.

    1. On the Backup plan tab, click Create Backup Plan.

    2. In the Create Backup Plan panel, keep the default settings.

    3. Click OK.

    Paid backup plan

To specify the backup interval, objects to back up, and retention period, create a paid backup plan.

    1. On the Backup plan tab, click Create Backup Plan.

    2. In the Create Backup Plan panel, click Switch to Paid Plan.

    3. In the dialog box that appears, click Confirmation.

    4. In the Create Backup Plan panel, configure the parameters as described in the following table.

    5. Parameter

      Description

      Source Path

The object name prefix to filter which objects to back up. Leave empty to back up all objects in the bucket.

      Backup Policy

Select a backup policy from the Policy Center.

      Use OSS Inventory

Indicates whether to use OSS Inventory for backups. This option improves incremental backup performance and is recommended for buckets with many objects. Use OSS Inventory to back up a large number of OSS objects.

    6. Click OK.

Cloud Backup runs backup jobs based on the specified start time and interval.

New bucket

  1. Log on to the OSS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Buckets and then click Create Bucket.

  3. In the Create Bucket panel, enable Scheduled Backup. Configure other parameters as described in Create buckets.

  4. Click OK.

After you create the bucket, a daily backup plan is automatically created with one-week retention and a 30-day free trial.

To view or modify the backup plan, in the left-side navigation pane for the bucket, choose Data Management > Scheduled Backup.
