Set up your Alibaba Cloud account and activate the required cloud products before using Intelligent Computing LINGJUN. This process takes approximately 15–30 minutes.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
Access to an Alibaba Cloud account or a Resource Access Management (RAM) user with the following permissions:
AliyunRAMReadOnlyAccessAliyunCENReadOnlyAccessAliyunARMSFULLAccessAliyunVPCReadOnlyAccessAliyunActionTrailReadOnlyAccessAliyunLINGJUNFullAccess
LINGJUN uses the same logon system as Alibaba Cloud. An Alibaba Cloud account owns resources and is responsible for metering and billing. A RAM user does not own resources and is not independently billed — charges are applied to the parent Alibaba Cloud account. To grant the required permissions to a RAM user, see Manage the permissions of a RAM user.
Step 1: Create an Alibaba Cloud account
If you already have an Alibaba Cloud account, skip this step.
Create an account. For instructions, see Create an account.
Complete identity verification. For details, see Which users need to complete identity verification?
After you create an account, it is considered a root account with high-level permissions that can consume resources. Keep your credentials secure and do not share them. Rotate your password regularly.
Step 2: Activate LINGJUN
Log on to the Intelligent Computing LINGJUN console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Resources & Nodes > Node Management.
Click Purchase New Node. On the compute node purchase page, select your region, instance type, subscription duration, and other required settings.
Click Buy Now and complete the payment.
(Optional) Purchase a Lingjun Connection. This step applies only to specific instance types in the China (Ulanqab) region. Skip it if your setup does not match the following conditions: A Lingjun Connection connects your LINGJUN nodes to a Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) or Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). The connection must be in the same region as your LINGJUN compute node. Currently, only the China (Ulanqab) region is supported. For billing details, see Product Billing.
Instance type: gu7ef, gu7xf, or some gu8xf
Region: China (Ulanqab)
Step 3: Activate other required cloud products
The following cloud products are billed separately from LINGJUN. Review the billing documentation for each product before activating.
Activate the products that apply to your setup:
What's next
After completing the preparations, continue with the following tasks:
Create a cluster — Set up an ACK LINGJUN managed cluster to schedule workloads on your compute nodes.
