This topic describes how billing is handled for configuration changes to pay-as-you-go and subscription clusters.
Pay-as-you-go clusters
Pay-as-you-go clusters are billed on an hourly basis. After you change the configuration, you are billed at the new hourly rate.

Q: Why is my refund for the downgrade less than expected?
A: Please confirm the following before you downgrade:
You received a discount on the original cluster order. For example, you received a 15% discount on the annual subscription for the original cluster. If the original price of the cluster was 1,000 CNY, you paid 850 CNY. The refund for the downgrade is calculated based on the actual payment of 850 CNY.
You used a coupon for the original cluster order. For example, you used a coupon to purchase the original cluster and paid 500 CNY. The refund for the downgrade is calculated based on the actual payment of 500 CNY.
