Restart an instance

Updated at:

Restarting a PolarDB-X instance closes all active connections and briefly interrupts service while the database engine process restarts. Use this operation when the instance has exceeded its maximum number of connections or is experiencing performance issues.

Restart an instance

Warning

Restarting an instance disconnects all applications from the database. Schedule the restart during low-traffic periods and make sure your application can handle reconnection.

  1. Log on to the PolarDB for Xscale console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the instance is located.

  3. On the Instances page, click the PolarDB-X 2.0 tab.

  4. Find the target instance and click its ID.

  5. On the Basic information page, click Restart Instance in the upper-right corner.

  6. In the message that appears, click OK.
