PrivateLink charges instance fees and data transfer fees on a pay-as-you-go basis. Cross-region connections incur additional fees.
Intra-region PrivateLink
Billable items and pricing
-
instance fee = Number of endpoint zones × Usage duration (hours) × Unit price (CNY/instance/hour).
-
Number of endpoint zones: Each zone in an endpoint counts as one billable instance.
-
Usage duration: Minimum one hour. Partial hours are rounded up.
-
Unit price: CNY 0.07/instance/hour.
-
Billing starts when you create an endpoint and stops when you delete it.
-
-
data transfer fee = Total bidirectional traffic (GB) across all endpoint zone ENIs × Unit price (CNY/GB).
Endpoint type
Unit price

CNY 0.07/GB
gateway load balancer endpoint
CNY 0.025/GB
Payer
-
The payer is selected during endpoint service creation and cannot be changed later.
-
The endpoint is always the billable resource, regardless of who pays.
Billing cycle and bill generation
The billing cycle is one hour. Fees are calculated and settled hourly based on actual usage.
-
Partial hours are billed as full hours.
-
Bills are typically generated within one hour after a billing cycle ends, though the exact generation time can vary. Data transfer fees apply only when data is transferred.
Billing example
A service provider creates an endpoint service. Ten service consumers each create an interface endpoint deployed in two zones, processing 100 GB of bidirectional data over 30 days.
The service provider selects the payer during endpoint service creation.
-
If the service consumer pays (default): Each consumer pays for their own endpoint. The provider incurs no fees.
-
instance fee: CNY 0.07/instance/hour × 24 hours/day × 30 days × 2 zones = CNY 100.80.
-
data transfer fee: CNY 0.07/GB × 100 GB = CNY 7.00.
-
-
If the service provider pays: The provider covers all endpoint fees for the service. Consumers incur no fees.
-
instance fee: CNY 0.07/instance/hour × 24 hours/day × 30 days × 2 zones × 10 endpoints = CNY 1,008.00.
-
data transfer fee: CNY 0.07/GB × 1,000 GB = CNY 70.00.
-
Cross-region PrivateLink
In addition to the instance fee and data transfer fee for intra-region connections, cross-region connections also incur a cross-region data transfer fee and an active remote region fee.
Billable items and pricing
-
Instance fees and data transfer fees follow Intra-region PrivateLink pricing.
-
Cross-region data transfer fee: For a single endpoint, the cross-region data transfer fee = Cross-region data transfer (GB) × Unit price (CNY/GB).
-
Cross-region data transfer is the total bidirectional data transferred across regions via all endpoint zone ENIs.
-
This fee is billed through Cloud Data Transfer (CDT).
-
The unit price is based on CDT rates for the Gold service level, which is the default.
-
-
Active remote region fee: For a single endpoint service, the active remote region fee = Number of active remote regions × Usage duration (hours) × Unit price (CNY/region/hour).
-
Active remote region: A region with at least one endpoint connected to the endpoint service.
-
Usage duration: Minimum one hour. Partial hours are rounded up.
-
Unit price: CNY 0.35/region/hour.
-
The billable resource is the endpoint service.
-
Payer
-
instance fee and data transfer fee: Paid by the payer selected when the endpoint service is created.
-
Cross-region data transfer fee: Paid by the service consumer.
-
Active remote region fee: Paid by the service provider.
Billing cycle and bill generation
The billing cycle is one hour. Fees are calculated and settled hourly based on actual usage.
-
Partial hours are billed as full hours.
-
Bills are typically generated within one hour after the current billing cycle ends. The exact time may vary by system.
-
Data transfer, cross-region data transfer, and active remote region fees apply only when the corresponding resources are used during the billing cycle.
Billing example
A service provider deploys an endpoint service in China (Hangzhou), supporting 10 regions including China (Beijing) and China (Shanghai).
-
Consumer A creates an interface endpoint in China (Beijing) with two zones, processing 100 GB of cross-region data over 30 days.
-
Consumer B creates an interface endpoint in China (Shanghai) with three zones, processing 200 GB of cross-region data over 30 days.
Fees for this 30-day period:
-
instance fee and data transfer fee: Paid by the payer selected when the endpoint service is created.
For example, if the consumer pays, each consumer covers their own endpoint fees, and the provider incurs none.
-
instance fee:
-
Service consumer A: CNY 0.07/instance/hour × 24 hours/day × 30 days × 2 zones = CNY 100.80.
-
Service consumer B: CNY 0.07/instance/hour × 24 hours/day × 30 days × 3 zones = CNY 151.20.
-
-
data transfer fee:
-
Service consumer A: CNY 0.07/GB × 100 GB = CNY 7.00.
-
Service consumer B: CNY 0.07/GB × 200 GB = CNY 14.00.
-
-
-
Cross-region data transfer fee:
-
Service consumer A: CNY 0.48/GB × 100 GB = CNY 48.00.
-
Service consumer B: CNY 0.48/GB × 200 GB = CNY 96.00.
-
-
Active remote region fee (paid by the service provider): China (Beijing) and China (Shanghai) are active remote regions. CNY 0.35/region/hour × 24 hours/day × 30 days × 2 regions = CNY 504.00.

Overdue payments and top-ups
To prevent service disruptions, we recommend that you renew your endpoints or top up your account at the earliest opportunity.
When a PrivateLink payment is overdue, the resource owner receives SMS and email notifications. Top up your account to settle the payment.
-
If the overdue amount is within your service suspension protection quota, the PrivateLink instance continues to run. Top up within the protection period to avoid suspension.
Alibaba Cloud provides a service suspension protection plan. For pay-as-you-go resources with overdue payments, this plan allows you to continue using the service for a limited time or within a specific credit limit. Billing continues during the protection period.
-
If the overdue payment exceeds your service suspension protection quota, your PrivateLink instance is suspended.
-
If you top up within 7 days after suspension, the system settles the overdue payment automatically, provided the instance has not been released. Service restores immediately after payment.
-
If the bill remains unpaid for 7 days after suspension, the PrivateLink instance is released. All configurations and data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
