Monitoring and logging help ensure the availability and health of your PrivateLink resources and services. Alibaba Cloud provides monitoring and auditing services, such as CloudMonitor and ActionTrail, to help you monitor the health and usage of your cloud resources in real time. These services continuously collect monitoring data so you can promptly respond to alerts.
Health status monitoring
We recommend that you monitor the health status of your Alibaba Cloud resources. This way, you can handle exceptions at the earliest opportunity. For more information, visit Alibaba Cloud Health Status.
On the Alibaba Cloud Status page, you can view the real-time status of cloud services in each region and subscribe to RSS feeds for status updates.
In the left-side navigation pane, select Network & CDN. In the product status table on the right, find PrivateLink to view its current and recent operational status.
CloudMonitor Basic
PrivateLink is integrated with CloudMonitor Basic, which you can use for free to monitor metrics for your cloud resources and internet applications in real time. For detailed metrics, see Monitoring metrics of endpoints and Monitoring metrics provided for endpoint services. You can also customize the following:

Configure an alert rule for specific metrics. You can receive alerts by phone, SMS, email, DingTalk chatbot, or through the Alibaba Cloud app. For instructions, see Create an alert rule.

Use an alert blacklist to suppress alerts for specific metrics. For instructions, see Manage an alert blacklist policy.
Auditing cloud resource activity
PrivateLink is integrated with ActionTrail. This service provides centralized management of operation logs for your cloud resources. It records user logins and resource access within your cloud account for security analysis, intrusion detection, resource change tracking, and compliance auditing.
ActionTrail records actions from the Alibaba Cloud Management Console, API calls, and developer tools. For a list of auditable PrivateLink events, see Auditable events of PrivateLink.
By default, ActionTrail tracks and retains events of the last 90 days. If you need to retain events for a longer period of time, you can create a trail to deliver events to Simple Log Service or OSS. For more information, see Create a trail.
After you create a trail to deliver events to a Logstore of Simple Log Service or an OSS bucket, you can query or analyze the events in the Simple Log Service or OSS console. For more information, see Query events in the Simple Log Service or OSS console.
If you need to trace a historical event, submit a ticket to request the required permissions.
