Refund policy

Updated at:

Managed Service for Prometheus uses pay-as-you-go billing. Bills are generated daily for the previous day's usage and deducted from your account balance. Because no upfront fees are charged, refunds do not apply.

To stop incurring charges, release your Prometheus instances and associated resources.

Before you begin

Back up or migrate any data you need before you release a Prometheus instance.

If you no longer need the Managed Service for Prometheus service, you can back up or migrate the data in your Prometheus instance and then release the instance. You will no longer be billed for the instance after it is released. You can follow these steps to release the instance.

  1. Log on to the Prometheus console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.

  2. On the Instances page, click Uninstall in the Actions column of the target instance, and then click Confirm in the dialog box that appears.

If the uninstallation fails and the instance status is UnInstallFailed, delete the integration environment and then uninstall the instance again as follows:

  1. Log on to the ARMS console. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Integration Management. Find the target integration environment (env-xxx) and delete it.

  2. Return to the instance list page, click Uninstall in the Actions column of the target instance, and in the dialog box that appears, click Confirm.

Note

The standard storage of Managed Service for Prometheus is billed based on the volume of data written or reported. After you uninstall the agent or stop reporting data, you are no longer charged for written or reported data. Even if an instance is temporarily in the UnInstallFailed state, you are not billed as long as no new data is written. If you enable extra storage features, such as Archive Storage, you are still billed for stored data during its retention period. Billing continues until the data expires and is deleted, or the instance is released. If extra storage is not enabled, no more charges are incurred.
