Data entry controls are fundamental to data entry in complex spreadsheets. This topic describes how to configure various data entry controls, such as Text, Number, Dropdown, date and time, Image, tree select, Function, Rating, and progress bar.

Data entry controls

Users with the developer role can configure data entry controls in a spreadsheet. These controls, which include types such as text, number, date, dropdown, image, function, rating, and progress bar, determine the type of value and the input method for a cell. Data entry controls are categorized as basic controls and advanced controls. The following sections use the parameter settings for cell-based data entry as examples.image.png
