This topic describes how to edit, search for, replace, and delete data sources.
Go to the Data Source Management page
Log on to the Quick BI console.
Navigate to the Data Sources page.

Grant permissions
Organization administrators, permission administrators, workspace administrators, or resource owners can grant permissions.

Replace a data source
On the Data Sources page, find the data source that you want to replace and click the Replace icon in the Actions column.

On the Replace Data Source page, select the target data source and enter the connection information for the new data source.

After you configure the new data source, click Test Connection.
After the connectivity test is successful, click OK.
Edit a data source
On the Data Sources page, find the data source that you want to edit and click the Edit icon in the Actions column.

On the Modify Data Source page, modify the data source information.
The parameters on the page vary by data source. The preceding figure is an example.

After you finish editing, click Test Connection.
After the connectivity test is successful, click OK.
Search for a data source
On the Data Sources page, enter a keyword from the data source name in the search box and click the
icon to find the data source.

Edit data source properties
On the Data Sources page, find the target data source and click Properties in the Actions column.

In the Properties pane, edit the data source properties.

Editable content
Description
Name
Enter a custom name for the data source. Name the data source based on its type or business purpose, such as Sales Data.
Owner
Change the owner of the data source. Click the selection box and select a user from the drop-down list as needed. Only users in the workspace who have permissions to create data sources are displayed.
Description
Enter a description for the data source. The description can include information such as the business purpose or usage notes. The description cannot exceed 300 characters.
Delete a data source
On the Data Sources page, find the data source that you want to delete and click the Delete icon in the Actions column.

In the message that appears, click OK to delete the data source.
If the data source is used by a dataset or for data entry, a message appears when you attempt to delete it. The message lists the published resources that are affected by the deletion, including their names, owners, modifiers, and modification times.
