You can create tags on the Tag page, in the Resource Management console, and in individual cloud service consoles. Tags created on the Tag page are predefined tags by default. To standardize tag management and ensure compliance, we recommend using predefined tags. This topic describes how to create a predefined tag on the Tag page.
What is a predefined tag?
Predefined tags are tags that are created in advance and apply to all regions. They are ideal for use during the tag planning stage. You can refer to Best practices for tag design to plan your tags based on your actual needs, create predefined tags, and then bind the tags to specific resources during the tag implementation stage.
When you create a predefined tag, you can create the tag without binding it to any resources.
When you create a predefined tag, you can choose not to attach it to any resources.
