Smart Access Gateway (SAG) SAG-100WM and SCG5000 support wireless (Wi-Fi) connectivity, allowing mobile clients to connect to Alibaba Cloud. Configure wireless settings for your gateway device in the SAG console.
Prerequisites
You must have an SAG-100WM or SCG5000 device.Configure wireless LAN for SAG-100WM
- Log on to the Smart Access Gateway console.
- Navigate to the Device Settings page by using one of the following methods:
- Click the ID of the target Smart Access Gateway instance to open its details page. Then, click Device Settings.
- In the Operation column of the target Smart Access Gateway instance, click .
- On the Device Settings page, click Manage LAN Ports.
- In the LAN-Wireless section, click Edit.
- On the Wireless configuration page, enable the wireless feature and configure the following parameters.
Parameter Description SSID A name that identifies the wireless network. The name must be 1 to 31 characters in length and can contain digits and uppercase and lowercase letters.
SSID Broadcast When enabled, wireless devices can discover this Wi-Fi network. Channel The Wi-Fi channel. Valid values: 0 to 11. Bandwidth The channel width. - Automatic

Wireless Network Protection - If you enable wireless security, you can set a password.
- If you disable wireless security, no password is required and anyone can connect to the network.
Authentication Type The authentication method. For better security, use WPA2-PSK. - WPA-PSK

Encryption Algorithm The encryption algorithm. - Automatic: The device automatically selects an encryption algorithm.
- TKIP: Temporal Key Integrity Protocol.
- AES: Advanced Encryption Standard, a secure and efficient encryption standard.
Password The password to connect to the Wi-Fi network. The password must be 8 to 32 characters in length and can contain digits and uppercase and lowercase letters.
Confirm Password Enter the password again to confirm it. - Click OK.
Configure SCG5000
Wireless configuration
- Log on to the Smart Access Gateway console.
- Navigate to the Device Settings page by using one of the following methods:
- Click the ID of the target Smart Access Gateway instance to open its details page. Then, click Device Settings.
- In the Operation column of the target Smart Access Gateway instance, click .
- On the Device Settings page, click Wi-Fi Information.
- In the Wireless configuration section, select the wireless type that you want to enable, and then click Edit in the Actions column.
- In the Wireless configuration dialog box, enable the wireless feature, and then configure the following parameters.
Parameter Description Wireless Protocol The wireless protocol. - If Wireless Type is set to 2.4G, valid values are:
- 11b
- 11g
- 11ng
- 11axg
- If Wireless Type is set to 5G, valid values are:
- 11a
- 11na
- 11ac
- 11axa
Bandwidth The channel width. Valid values: - If Wireless Type is set to 2.4G, valid values are:
- HT20
- HT40
- If Wireless Type is set to 5G, valid values are:
- HT20
- HT40
- HT80
Channel The Wi-Fi channel. - If Wireless Type is set to 2.4G, valid values are Auto and 1 to 13.
- If Wireless Type is set to 5G, valid values are Auto, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 149, 153, 157, 161, and 165.
Transmission Power The transmit power. Wireless Network Status Enables or disables the wireless feature on the device. - If Wireless Type is set to 2.4G, valid values are:

SSID configuration
- Log on to the Smart Access Gateway console.
- Navigate to the Device Settings page by using one of the following methods:
- Click the ID of the target Smart Access Gateway instance to open its details page. Then, click Device Settings.
- In the Operation column of the target Smart Access Gateway instance, click .
- On the Device Settings page, click Wi-Fi Information.
- In the SSID Settings section, click Add SSID.
- In the SSID Settings dialog box, configure the following parameters, and then click OK.
Parameter Description Basic Settings SSID The name of the wireless network. Radio Type The wireless type. Valid values: - 2.4G: The wireless network supports the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band.
- 5G: The wireless network supports the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band.
- 2.4G, 5G: The wireless network supports both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands.
VLAN The ID of the virtual local area network (VLAN). Valid values: 1 to 4094. If VLAN is set to 1, the DHCP configuration is shared with the LAN. To associate this VLAN with other subinterfaces, modify this value.
SSID Click the switch to enable the SSID. By default, the SSID is enabled. Max. Connections The maximum number of clients that can connect to this SSID. Security Settings Encryption Type The encryption type. Valid values: - none
- WEP: If you select this option, you must enter an encryption key.
- WPA2-PSK: If you select this option, you must enter an encryption key.
- WPA: If you select this option, you must select an AD authentication template.
- WPA2: If you select this option, you must select an AD authentication template.
Enable Portal Authentication Portal authentication uses a web page for identity verification and personalized services. Toggle the switch to enable or disable this feature. If you enable portal authentication, you must select a portal SMS authentication template.
Throttling Throttling Type The speed limit type. Valid values: - Unlimited

Downstream Rate The maximum download speed for each client, in Kbps. Note This parameter is required only when Throttling Type is set to Limit Terminals.Upstream Rate The maximum upload speed for each client, in Kbps. Note This parameter is required only when Throttling Type is set to Limit Terminals.Advanced Settings SSID Isolation Controls Layer 2 communication between clients on the same access point. Enabling this feature blocks client-to-client communication, which can improve security and reduce broadcast traffic.
Hide SSID Hides the SSID from network scans. When this is enabled, users must manually enter the SSID and password to connect.
Multicast Forwarding Multicast forwarding. Valid values: - true: Enables multicast forwarding.
- limit: Partially restricts multicast forwarding. This option can improve overall network performance but may affect applications that depend on multicast.
- false: Disables multicast forwarding. This option can improve overall network performance but prevents multicast applications from functioning.
