Notification policies in SchedulerX 2.0 let you configure alert notification methods and schedules for different scenarios. You can create, edit, and delete notification policies, and assign them to applications.

Create a notification policy

  1. Log on to the MSE SchedulerX console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Notification Management.

  3. Select the Notification Policy tab, and then click Create Notification Policy.

  4. On the Create Notification Policy page, configure the following settings:

    • Notification policy name: Required. The name must be unique and be 5 to 50 characters long.

    • Description: Optional. Enter a description of up to 100 characters.

    • Notification channel: Select one or more channels. Supported channels include text message, email, phone, and webhook.

    • @all members in group: This option is available only when you select the webhook channel.

    • Effective Time Settings:

      • Apply to all channels: Sets a single effective period for all selected channels.

      • Configure for each channel: Sets a unique effective period for each channel.

        Note

Select any time range from Monday to Sunday. Use the HH:mm format.

    • Time zone: The time zone for the policy.

  5. Click OK.

Edit a notification policy

  1. Log on to the MSE SchedulerX console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Notification Management.

  3. In the notification policy list, find the desired policy and click Edit in the Actions column.

  4. In the Edit Notification Policy panel, modify the settings and click OK.

Delete a notification policy

  1. Log on to the MSE SchedulerX console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Notification Management.

  3. In the notification policy list, find the desired policy and click Delete in the Actions column.

    Note

If the policy is in use, a confirmation dialog box lists the namespaces and applications that use the policy. After deletion, those applications will no longer send notifications.

  4. Click Delete.

Assign a notification policy

  1. When you create or edit an application, go to the Notification Configuration section and turn on the Use notification policy switch.

  2. From the notification policy drop-down list, select a policy.

    Note

You can assign only one notification policy to each application.

After configuration, alerts trigger notifications based on the policy's method and schedule.
