Task Hub provides automated response orchestration capabilities. It allows you to organize repetitive task logic from security event responses into automated handling policies, helping you strengthen system security efficiently. After you create an automated task, Task Hub automatically runs the task on the selected assets in batches. This topic describes how to use Task Hub.

Background information

Task Hub allows you to quickly create automated tasks based on policy templates. After a task is created, it automatically runs batch vulnerability fixing on the selected server assets when the scheduled execution time begins. This helps improve the efficiency of system security hardening. The batch vulnerability fixing task in Task Hub supports fixing Linux vulnerabilities, Windows vulnerabilities, and Web-CMS vulnerabilities.

Version Limits

  • Subscription: Enterprise or Ultimate (If your current edition does not support this feature, upgrade).

    Note

    The protection edition of the server must be set to the edition you purchased. For more information, see Bind a server protection edition.

  • Pay-as-you-go: Vulnerability Fixing pay-as-you-go is activated (If not activated, purchase).

Create a task

  1. Log on toSecurity Center console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose System Configuration > Task Center.

  3. (Optional) On the Policy Template tab, find the policy template that you want to add. In the Actions column, click Clone.

  4. On the My Policies tab, find the policy that you want to use. In the Actions column, click Create Task.

  5. On the Create Task page, configure the task settings and click Create Task.

    Task Name

    Enter a task name.

    Asset List

    Select the assets on which you want to run the automated task. You can select a single asset, multiple assets across groups, or an asset group. You can select assets by using the following methods:

    • Select a group in the Asset Group module to automatically select all assets in the group. You can refine the selection in the Asset module on the right.

    • Search for assets by asset name, IP address, or tag (fuzzy search is supported) in the Asset module.

    Select vulnerabilities to fix

    You can click the Linux Software Vulnerability, Windows System Vulnerability, or Web-CMS Vulnerability tab to select the vulnerabilities that you want to automatically fix. You can select up to 200 vulnerabilities.

    Note

    The vulnerability list shows only the vulnerabilities that exist on the assets you selected.

    Snapshot storage time

    Before the task starts, Security Center creates snapshots for your assets. The default storage period is one day. You can manually change the snapshot storage duration.

    Notification

    Select the notification method after the task is completed. DingTalk chatbot and email notifications are supported.

    Execution time

    You can choose to run the task immediately or specify a custom execution time.

    After the task is created, a success message appears and you are automatically redirected to the Task Management page.

View task details

  1. Log on toSecurity Center console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose System Configuration > Task Center.

  3. On the Task Management tab, find the target task. In the Actions column, click Details to view the task details.
