Renew Simple Application Server instances manually, automatically, or in batches of up to 30.
Expiration
When your Simple Application Server instance, Simple Application Server Load Balancer, Simple Container Service, or Simple Database Service subscription expires, the service automatically stops and is disabled. Data is retained for 15 days, during which you can renew to restart. If not renewed within 15 days, the instance and its snapshots and custom images are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Manual renewal

Log on to the Simple Application Server console.

On the instance card, click Renew.

On the Renew page, confirm the configuration, set the Duration, agree to the terms of service, and click Buy Now.
Select the auto-renewal checkbox under Duration. The renewal fee is charged 9 days before expiration.

Confirm the order on the Payment page and complete payment.
Mobile
Limitations
Batch renewal and coupons are not supported on mobile devices.
Prerequisites

You have downloaded the Alibaba Cloud App.
Renew an instance

Open the Alibaba Cloud App and tap the Console tab.

In the search box at the top, enter SWAS.

In the search results, tap Go to Console.

On the Instances page, select the region where your instance is located.

On the instance card, tap
> Renew. -
Set the Duration, confirm the configuration and expiration date, and tap Buy Now. Complete payment as prompted.
Auto-renewal
Enable auto-renewal to prevent service interruptions or data loss from missed renewals.

Auto-renewal does not take effect immediately. Starting the next day, the system charges the renewal fee 9 days before expiration. If payment fails, the system retries daily until successful or 1 day before expiration.

If an instance expires the next day, auto-renewal will not trigger. You must renew the instance manually.
Enable auto-renewal
Existing instances

Navigate to the Renewal page.

For Product Name, select Simple Application Server.

On the Manual Renewal tab, select one or more instances, and then click Enable Auto-renewal.

On the Enable Auto-renewal page, configure the Unified Auto Renewal Cycle, and then click Enable Auto-renewal.
During purchase
On the instance purchase page, Enable Auto-renewal is selected by default. Clear the checkbox to disable it.
Manage auto-renewal
After enabling auto-renewal, you can disable it, modify the renewal cycle, or skip the next renewal.
Go to the Renewal page and select Simple Application Server. On the Auto-renewal tab, manage auto-renewal settings.

Enable Manual Renewal: Disables auto-renewal.

Modify Auto-renewal Settings: Changes the auto-renewal period.

Renew: Immediately renews the instance.
The next auto-renewal date is recalculated from the new expiration date.

Nonrenewal: Prevents an instance from being auto-renewed at the end of its current subscription period.
Batch renewal
Renew multiple instances at once.
Limitations
You can renew up to 30 instances per batch. Batch renewal is not supported on the Alibaba Cloud App.
Procedure

Log on to the Simple Application Server console.

Select the instances to renew and click Renew in the menu at the bottom.

On the Renewal page, select the instances and click Batch Renewal.

Set the subscription duration and complete payment.
FAQ
Does manual renewal conflict with auto-renewal?
No. Manual renewal takes precedence. The next auto-renewal date is recalculated from the new expiration date.
How is the new expiration date calculated?
After a Simple Application Server instance expires, it is automatically stopped and disabled. If you renew within 15 days, the new expiration date = Renewal Date + Subscription Duration. For example, if an instance expires on July 1 and you renew for one month on July 10, the new expiration is August 10.
Are renewal orders refundable?
Yes. Go to the Unsubscribe page to check your renewal order status:

If the order is on the Unsubscribe Renewal That Does Not Take Effect tab, you can apply for a full refund.

If the order is on the Unsubscribe Resource tab, the refund follows partial refund rules.

Why did auto-renewal fail?
Auto-renewal takes effect the next day. The system charges the renewal fee starting 9 days before expiration. If payment fails due to insufficient balance, top up your account and renew manually.
Can I downgrade during renewal?
No. Simple Application Server supports upgrades only, not downgrades.
