Create users and user groups

To send alert notifications by text message, email, or voice call, create users or user groups as notification recipients.

Step 1: Create users

  1. Log on to the Simple Log Service console.

  2. Go to the User Management tab.

    1. In the Projects section, click a project.

    2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Alerts.

    3. On the Alert Center page, choose Notification Objects > User Management.

  3. Create users.

    1. Click Create.

    2. In the Add User dialog box, set the following parameters and click Confirm.

      Parameter

      Description

      ID

      User ID. Must be unique within the Alibaba Cloud account.

      Username

      Name of the user.

      Phone Number

      Mobile number with country code. Example: 86-1381111*****.

      • Enable Receive Text Message to send text message notifications to this user.

      • Enable Receive Phone Call to send voice call notifications to this user.

      Email

      Email address. Click Add to add more.

      Note

      At least one of Phone Number or Email is required.

      Enable

      Enable Enable to send alert notifications to this user.

Step 2: Create user groups

  1. Log on to the Simple Log Service console.

  2. Go to the User Group Management tab.

    1. In the Projects section, click a project.

    2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Alerts.

    3. On the Alert Center page, choose Notification Objects > User Group Management.

  3. Create user groups.

    1. Click Create.

    2. In the Add User Group dialog box, set the following parameters and click Confirm.

      Parameter

      Description

      ID

      User group ID. Must be unique.

      Group Name

      Name of the user group.

      Available members

      Users you created.

      Selected members

      Users to add to this group.

      Enable

      Enable Enable to send alert notifications to this group.
